Taxi Transfers To and From Harry Reid International Airport

Upon arrival at Harry Reid International Airport, make sure not to leave your personal belongings at the facility.

Transport options available at the airport include rental cars, hotel shuttle services, rideshares, trains, buses, and taxis.

The airport has two separate terminal buildings, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Both have a separate parking garage, ticketing/check-in area, Baggage Claim, and shopping and dining options.

Passengers are advised to check ahead for the correct terminal to avoid confusion or having to ride the shuttle bus between terminals.

Taxis at Harry Reid International Airport

Upon exit from the Baggage Claim area, proceed to the Ground Transportation Center toward the taxi stand.

Terminal 1

Taxis are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1 - 4. Airport personnel are available to help queue the lines and provide assistance as needed.

Terminal 3

Taxis are located outside on Level Zero. There are several taxi loading areas on the west end of the building to serve domestic and international travelers. Airport personnel are available to assist as needed.

One-way fare between the airport and Downtown is about $40.00. If you need to travel outside the city area, please consult your driver for rates. It is customary to give the driver a tip (15-20% of the fare) for good service.

Notes: All taxi companies accept credit cards. The maximum number of passengers allowed in any cab is six, including infants and children.

Don’t forget to record the cab company, vehicle number, and driver's name when traveling to and from the airport, just in case you leave something behind.

Hotel Shuttle Services at Harry Reid International Airport

Many hotels in Las Vegas have shuttle services though some might require prior reservations. Please confirm if this service is available at your accommodation.

Shuttle services pick up and drop passengers at the Ground Transportation Center. Fares may vary for this service. Please call the hotel front desk for further information.

Additionally, it is customary to give the driver a tip ($5.00 – $10.00 depending on the length of the ride, plus $1.00 per bag if the driver helps you with your luggage).

Ride Shares at Harry Reid International Airport

Rideshares are permitted to pick up and drop off passengers from LAS. Drivers can pick up and drop off passengers from level 2M of the Terminal 1 parking garage and the valet level of Terminal 3 parking.

Passengers can reserve rideshare by downloading the company’s app on their smartphone and coordinating directly with their driver. They can also request a ride a few days before their flight to avoid the inconvenience.

Ridesharing apps should let users verify the identity of drivers by checking out their faces, license plates, and colors.

It might help if you could ask the driver to identify himself and the name of the passenger he’s picking up. It could prevent people from impersonating drivers.

Finally, if you ever feel uncomfortable, you are not under any obligation to climb into someone’s vehicle.
